Kohler&Bandl is well known for manufacturing a wide range of fire doors, security doors and multifunctional iron doors. Small turnstiles up to 500x500mm and large gates up to 5000x500mm can be manufactured by Kohler&Bandl. In order to meet different styles and individual customer requirements, while ensuring the best product quality and dimensional accuracy, the company purchased a robotic laser cutting system from Kuka Industries in early 2012. This system can be accurately positioned for perfect opening machining in any style.
"We mainly manufacture fire doors and gates of various sizes," says Adolf Kohler, senior partner of the company. "We are not producing licensed products, but self-developed products." To ensure the best quality for each order, we have a clear goal to provide complex finishes for multi-opening door frames with greater flexibility and precision. Since January 2012, we have been using this line for dimensional cutting and opening of galvanized steel and stainless steel frames on a per-order basis, optimising the waste that can result from cutting.
